• 今天好高兴，得知有人听了我的讲座后，得到了一个新职位

  大约两周前，在我离开原来部门的最后一周，我主动给大家讲了一堂《职场规划》课。结果今天就收到Sophie的一份邮件。 好高兴，觉得自己花点时间，真的能帮到一些人，值了。 From: Sophie Sent: Friday, March 30, 2007 9:56 AM To: Vincent Feng Yang Subject: Thank you Hi Vincent, You may be surprised, but I really want to say thank you. • Simon Guest: Putting the User back into Architecture

  Simon Guest 是微软 DPE (Developer & Platform Evangelism)总部的架构师战略组(Architect Strategy Team)的老大。就是说着眼于未来两三年微软架构方向的Think Tank. 最近在微软每年一度的Tech Ready听到他的这个讲座，不仅为对他讲座的内容大加赞赏，也对他的讲演技巧和韵律（Flow＊）极为佩服。尤其是下载他讲稿之后，发现居然有204页，几乎跌破眼镜，因为和我通常受到的训练大相径庭，只能说是非常人不可以常理论。  不过，这一讲座不看视频，就大为逊色。他说他在制作可以对外公开的视频，向我保证一定会尽快告诉我，我也保证一定会尽快告诉大家。 ＊注：不知道如何能更好的翻译Presentation Flow,希望不吝赐教  ＊注２：这是PowerPoint 2007的格式，如果你没有Office2007, 你要下载PowerPoint2007阅读器 下载：http://vincentyang.cn/files/folders/software_development/entry62.aspx 发表于 Mar 17 2007, 02:54 PM 作者 vincent with no comments 标签:Software Development,Architect,Presentation

• 写简历不要用大照片

  最近帮两个朋友看简历，看到都有一个问题，就是WORD文件太大。仔细看都带有高精度的照片或截屏。这有一个问题，有时公司的邮件系统部对邮件大小有限制，或个人的邮箱有大小空间有限。所以都不宜发大邮件。你想想，如果我邮箱爆了，我最先删的一定是最大的邮件。 因此，有必要压缩图片。具体步骤如下： 1）点击，选择图片 2）选择 Format/compress 指令， 3）压缩成200DPI就特别好了。 没空贴图了，用问题再贴吧。 发表于 Mar 14 2007, 03:06 PM 作者 vincent with 3 comment(s) 标签:Interviewing,Job Hunting

• 我现在是一个传道人了。

  这周我正式在微软（中国）公司转到DPE(Developer & Platform Evangelism)部门Senior Architect Evangelist。这对一个16年的基督徒来说，不能不说是一个非常有趣的头衔。 Evangelist：直接的翻译应该是“布道家，福音传道士”。这在宗教界或国外也许很好理解，但要翻译成中文，就不太容易了，没有几段话还解释不清楚。 在公司里，公司对这部门，这职位有一套非常健全的规范定义和辅助文件，光RoleGuide就有十二门必选的培训课。而自己近期的了解，好像是曝光过度的照片，只是一片光明中模模糊糊有个轮廓。 所以暂时给自己一个MSN的抬头：“Be an Evangelist as business role, a Solution Architect in Industry”, 但提醒自己不要忘了："Be a MAN with Characters." 发表于 Mar 11 2007, 03:59 PM 作者 vincent with 4 comment(s)
